(Cricket HQ is categorised as an Indoor Recreation Facility under the Victorian State Government's restrictions which means we are allowed to open when gyms & fitness centres are - therefore until we reach the Last Step (14 days on 0 covid cases)).
Sadly, due to COVID-19 we have been forced to close for the second time. Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire are in lockdown from Wednesday July 8 until further notice.. The only reasons for leaving home are shopping for food and essentials, medical treatment and care-giving, exercise and work and study if you can’t do them from home. We hope to re-open as soon as possible. As an indoor recreation centre we will only be allowed to open when we reach Step 4 - predicted at this stage to be in November if case numbers allow.

Cricket HQ is headquarters for all things cricket! We offer net hire to individuals and local cricket clubs plus one on one coaching. You can also purchase all your gear including bats, cricket boots, pads, gloves, balls and accessories.

Based in Moorabbin in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, the Cricket HQ facility has five indoor cricket training nets including four bays that are available for individual hire and club training sessions. The fifth net is a dedicated cricket coaching lane.  The lighting is world class with our lighting engineers delivering 1,000 lumens at a height of one metre.

Not only that, you'll have access to some of the most passionate, accredited, high performance coaches in the state. They use some state of the art technology including a number of bowling machines (BOLA brand) that allow you and our coaches to regulate the speed and swing of each delivery. Some of the machines also come with auto ball feeders and a remote control so individual batters can operate the machine without assistance.

We recognise the fact that most junior club coaches in the South East Cricket Association are unpaid volunteers and while they do a fantastic job, cricket is a technical game. If your son or daughter is an ambitious young cricketer looking for elite level coaching, Cricket HQ provides the perfect training environment.

Cricket HQ houses the Victorian Junior Cricket Academy that offers boys and girls aged 7 to 16 the opportunity to fast track their development. The program has a focus on all aspects of the game including batting, bowling, fielding, wicket keeping and game day strategies. The Academy runs programs all year round including our acclaimed winter program and caters for fanatical junior cricketers looking to improve. Over the past few seasons a number of Academy members have represented Victoria in the Under 15 and Under 17 national cricket carnivals as well as played in numerous SECA representative and premiership winning Under 15 Craig teams. If your child wants to ‘prep for rep’ the Victorian Junior Cricket Academy has a proven track record and you can read testimonials from players and parents here.

We are now accepting Registrations for our Winter Cricket Programme.
The Winter Programme is a structured cricket coaching program for 9 to 16 year olds that runs for 10 weeks through June, July and August. The programme commences on the weekend of June 27 and 28, 2020 and because children can have other weekend sporting commitments, we operate on both Saturdays and Sundays. Participants can attend either day to work around their other sporting pursuits.
The only pre-requisite to attend the Winter Programme is participants must be passionate about the game of cricket. They should be prepared to work hard to take their game to the next level. Most importantly, it’s NOT just for elite junior players, it’s for young players who want to build confidence and realise their full potential.

Will Robertshaw has been working with my sons Spencer and Charlie for the past 3 seasons and last season they both made representative teams as bottom age players and had great carnivals. Spencer also made his debut in sub-district firsts at 15 years of age. Both boys love the coaching sessions and always come away talking about something new or a game day strategy. Will’s communication skills and rapport with the boys is remarkable plus his understanding of the game and eye for technical detail belies his age. He has had a major influence on the boys and their confidence to take on captaincy roles. I would recommend Will to any parent looking to help their child improve their game and life confidence.

I had my first batting session with Pat Camm on the eve of the South East Bayside Breakers Under 14 tournament in 2015/16. It had a profound impact and I scored more than 350 runs during the tournament. I enrolled in the winter program the following year and had a record breaking Under 15 Craig (Hatch) tournament scoring more than 450 runs including two centuries (172 not out and 105). I had a fantastic under 16A grade season last year and played sub-district firsts. Pat’s coaching has made a huge difference
